Breastfeeding is a learning journey for you and your baby. Benton County WIC is dedicated to helping you at every step on your journey by offering information and resources for you. Below you will find several additional resources in our community including free home-visits by a Nurse, drop-in clinics with a Lactation Consultant, and online resources for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Hours and locations may change based on staff availability, holidays, and other operational closures or changes. When possible, it is recommended to reach out to resources directly to confirm what is available.

Benton County Home Visiting Nursing Services
Our goal is to connect you with resources that nurture your whole family and support your pregnancy, postpartum, and any children you have in their first few years (up to age 5). Nurses provide screenings, assessments, resources, and referrals – as well as lactation and nutrition support.

Online Resources
Lactation and Infant Feeding Basics Online Class
In this two-hour class you will learn the basics of breastfeeding and get a good start on your new journey with your baby. It is recommended that this class be taken during or after the sixth month of pregnancy.
The class is the first Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Call (541) 917-4884 to register.
WIC Online Nutrition Education
WIC families can login using their WIC ID# to watch videos and read articles on different lactation topics.

The Parent Cafe Group
Hosted by the Community Doula Program, this is a free group to talk about stressors and developing small goals. Children are welcome and snacks are provided.
