Warming and Cooling Centers are indoor sites that are free for members of the public to access during designated hours, which can be especially valuable to community members during extreme temperatures or weather advisories. This page includes hours & contact information for some known warming and cooling centers in Benton County. Each of these sites has heating/air conditioning and drinking water. Sometimes pet crates can be made available.
Additionally, local resources for people in need can be accessed through Community Services Consortium at communityservices.us or by calling 541-928-6335.
Hours and locations may change based on staff availability, holidays, and other operational closures or changes. When possible, it is recommended to call ahead to centers to confirm hours.

Emergency Overflow Sheltering
When specific weather conditions exist, Benton County has funded Faith, Hope, and Charity to provide severe weather overflow sheltering for unhoused people. These extreme weather events are rare; these services provide for individuals who are not able to access current Benton County shelters for whatever reason. When thresholds are met, outreach teams work to identify individuals in need of this service. For more information and referrals, call Faith, Hope, and Charity at 541-740-5807.
