Collaborative Crisis Services

Mobile Crisis Team

The mobile crisis team responds 24/7/365 when called by various community partners, including law enforcement, to assess individuals out in the community who are experiencing mental health crisis.

Pre-Commitment Services

A person in crisis who is unwilling to seek voluntary treatment, and as a result of their mental health disorder is dangerous to themselves or others – or is unable to provide for their own basic needs – may qualify for this service. We can help you determine whether a person meets the legal criteria for involuntary commitment and treatment. Visit our Civil Commitment Service page to learn more.

CORE – Crisis, Outreach, Response, and Engagement

Benton County Behavioral Health partners with Corvallis Police Department (CPD) to respond to service calls related to mental health crisis. This results in more people getting supportive mental health treatment and resources, and fewer people spending time in the emergency room or jail due to mental health crisis.

Benton County Crisis Center is working to expand services at our voluntary crisis center. In addition to crisis counseling, referrals and support for ongoing behavioral health services, we will soon expand to provide stabilization and respite for individuals experiencing mental health crisis.

The crisis center will transition to being open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We will continue to serve all agesregardless of ability to payno appointment needed. The Crisis Center is for anyone who needs a break from stressors to be connected to services and support. Our “no-wrong-door” approach supports people having mental health crises for any number of reasons.
